这种用法源自up/down one's alley.正合其所长; 正合某人的兴趣; 为某人所熟悉
knowing one's alleys意识是“对某事相当了解”。 例句：Bowling is right up my alley. 我是打保龄球的行家里手。 For william, car racing is right down his alley. blind alley: 死胡同，没有前途的事情。 I tried to convince my brother to stop doing this Turkish-restaurant business because it's a blind alley. weird:
老友们表示对一件事情的奇怪，诧异和不理解,几乎从来不用我们喜欢用的“strange”，而用这里的“weird”。这个词在剧集里出现频率十分之高，几乎每集都使用。如“It’s weird”“You're weird today”。
freak out:
“freak”原意主要是表示“怪诞的人或事物”，在老友们的口中，用的极其频繁的是“freak out”，表示吓坏了。有点像我们平常口语里面夸张的说法“吓死了”。例如“I got really freaked out”“You freak me out”。并不是我们常说的“I’m afraid/scared.”
